The Edson and District Drug Action Coalition was formed in October 2003.  The mission of the Coalition is to encourage the development of strong, healthy and vibrant communities, free of the harmful effects of substance abuse, using best practices in prevention, intervention and education programs.   The Edson and District Drug Action Coalition is a member of the Yellowhead Region Drug Action Committee.

Yellowhead Region Drug Action Committee

The Yellowhead Region Drug Action Committee includes members from Drayton Valley, Whitecourt, Hinton, Jasper, Yellowhead County and Edson.  The Committee shares resources, information and community strategies to build drug awareness and drug resiliency in the region.  The Committee meets once a month via teleconference.  To learn more about what the Yellowhead Region Drug Action Committee is doing, you can join these teleconferences. The Band DaPhuk played at Mojo's Saturday night and donated their proceeds to EDDAC. Accepting the donation was EDDAC Coordinator Rosy Geist.
